I get a lot of the same questions about my Santa mini sessions, so I put together this Santa mini session FAQ for Fort Collins to answer everything in one place. Whether you’re still deciding or ready to book, here’s what you need to know.
Table of Contents
The session fee is $195, non-refundable, and it reserves your family’s time slot with Santa. It does not include digital images — after your session, you’ll shop your online gallery à la carte: one image for $195, three images for $295, or the full gallery for $375, all with download rights and a print release included. If you’d like an additional family portrait — with or without Santa — that’s a $75 add-on. I keep this pricing transparent up front because I want you to know exactly what you’re getting before you book.

Sessions are quick and focused — just enough time to get your family settled, capture genuine reactions with Santa Greg, and grab a few family portraits if you’ve added that on. It moves fast, so we make every minute count, and Santa Greg is wonderful at keeping things relaxed even on a tight timeline.
You’ll receive an online gallery of 8 or more images, delivered before Thanksgiving so you have plenty of time to use them for cards and gifts. From there, you choose which images to purchase — a single favorite, a set of three, or the whole gallery. Every option includes download rights and a print release, so once you’ve chosen your images, they’re yours to print and share however you’d like.

This comes up more than you’d think, and it’s completely okay. We start every session with a photo of just the kids, then bring Santa Greg in — that way you’re guaranteed at least one tear-free shot before he even joins the frame. From there, Santa Greg is patient and never forces an interaction — he lets each child warm up at their own pace, whether that means a big hug right away or hanging back with a parent for a minute first. Some of the sweetest, most honest photos come from those hesitant moments. A wide-eyed stare, a nervous grip on mom’s hand, a tentative smile — those are real, and they’re often the images families love most.

All ages are welcome. Babies often do best held by a parent close to Santa, so we can capture that sweet, wide-eyed newness. Toddlers tend to warm up once they see Santa Greg’s Nice book light up — it’s a great icebreaker. School-age kids usually come in with their own excitement and questions for Santa, which makes for some really fun, candid moments. Wherever your child is developmentally, we’ll work with it.

Yes! Time is built in for both a moment with just the kids and Santa, as well as a full family portrait if you’d like one. If you’d like an additional family portrait beyond what’s included — with or without Santa — that’s available as a $75 add-on to your session.

Keep it simple: coordinate instead of matching, choose comfort over anything too formal, and let your kids feel like themselves. For a full breakdown of outfit ideas and what to skip, check out my complete outfit guide for Santa mini sessions in Fort Collins.

This is a single-day event — Saturday, November 7 — with a limited number of time slots available at my studio. Because there’s only one date and Santa Greg is only in the studio that day, spots are limited by nature, not by hype. Once the available times are gone, they’re gone, so if you know you want in, I’d recommend booking sooner rather than later.
