Let’s talk about another option:
Newborn photos that help you remember what this actually felt like.
The weight of them on your chest.
The sleepy stretches.
The tiny noises they make.
You know this season is fleeting (everyone tells you, constantly)…
but somehow the days blur together and the details slip away faster than you’d like.
And the newborn photos you usually see out there are overly posed + overly styled setups that don’t feel like your baby or your life, leaving you wondering why none of them make your heart squeeze.
That’s why I help you turn your images into custom albums and heirloom artwork—so this chapter doesn’t just live in your memory, but in your hands.
They’re meant to be held.
Passed down.
Lingered over.

She is genuinely a baby whisperer — she handled our fussy little one with so much patience and ease...
As a first-time mom (and total germaphobe), I was especially nervous because our daughter had been in the NICU, but Shelley was incredibly respectful and cautious about all of our concerns. She took cleanliness and safety seriously, which meant the world to us and helped me relax and actually enjoy the session.
Not rushed. Not stressful. And definitely not “smile for the camera.”

HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR newborn SESSION
Because newborn days are a blur of love, wonder, and very little sleep.
Those tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, and the way they fit perfectly in your arms — it all changes faster than anyone warns you. These portraits turn those fleeting days into heirloom artwork you’ll hold onto forever.
From the moment we arrived, she was so warm, welcoming, and made the entire experience truly memorable.

I know when to step in.
When to step back.
And exactly which fleeting details you’ll want back someday.
Newborn sessions are limited and often book out in advance. I only take 4 clients a month across all session types to ensure a high level of service.
Newborn sessions need to be planned within the first 2.5 weeks after birth, but need to be booked well in advance to guarantee availability.
This season doesn’t repeat itself.
And neither do these moments.

QUESTIONS
When should I book my newborn session?
When is the best time to photograph a newborn?
Most newborn sessions take place within the first 7–14 days, when babies are still sleepy, curly, and very much in their tiny human era.
That said—every baby is different, and I’ll guide you based on your baby, not a rigid rulebook.
Where do newborn sessions take place?
All newborn sessions take place in my studio—a calm, cozy, baby-friendly space designed specifically for this season.
Controlled light, warm temperatures, clean everything, and zero pressure to have your house “company-ready.” You’ve got enough going on.
What if my baby is fussy or won’t sleep?
Totally normal. Expected, even.
Newborn sessions move at your baby’s pace. We pause for feeding, cuddling, soothing—whatever’s needed. I’ve worked with hundreds of babies, and there is no such thing as a “bad” newborn session.
There’s always magic to capture.
How long does a newborn session last?
What should we wear for our newborn session?
You’ll receive a prep guide with wardrobe guidance so you don’t have to guess. Neutral, soft, timeless pieces photograph beautifully—and yes, comfort matters.
I’ll also help you coordinate without looking matchy-matchy or overly styled.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
No problem at all. Babies have their own timelines—and I plan for that.
Once your baby arrives, we’ll adjust scheduling as needed to find the best time for your session.
Flexibility is built into the process.
Do siblings or pets join the session?
Yes, siblings are welcome—and we’ll handle their portion of the session first so they can relax afterward.
Pets can sometimes be included depending on the setup. If that’s important to you, we’ll talk through the best approach ahead of time.
How many images will we receive?
You’ll view a curated gallery and choose your favorite images—each one intentionally edited and artwork-ready.
This isn’t about volume. It’s about meaningful images you’ll love for a lifetime.
How do we book a newborn session?
Booking starts with a simple inquiry. From there, I’ll walk you through scheduling, the session fee, and what to expect next.
Once your contract is signed and retainer is paid, your spot is officially reserved—and you can cross this off your mental to-do list.
