The way I perform the act of photography and portrait creation is with a large printed and framed piece as the result in mind.
I am literally crafting a portrait with the intention of it being able to stand on it's own as a piece of art. I make all kinds of artistic choices to that end before I ever press the shutter button.
I craft light conditions, I make color decisions, I pull in texture, reduce distractions and create compositions to produce a one of a kind image for you starring your most loved human(s) in this world. Ta Da!
I very intentionally choose to sell prints to fulfill my own artistic needs as well, frankly it kills me to obsess over how to craft portraits only to have them live and die on a phone or hard drive. The bonus for you is I've taken that same obsessive drive and found the absolute best print products for you to enjoy.

With my process you will be receiving digital images as well as prints!
Another way I perform photography is through story telling, for example, a maternity or family session, with an album as the final result in mind.
I want you to have a central, tangible product to open and visually read the story of you. I want you to feel the sunshine, smell the earth, to be transported back to that time you were pregnant and everything was still unknowable. Or to that time your family became 4 instead of 3. When your baby still looked like a baby. When your toddler was suddenly looking like a big kid. When your preteen was becoming a teen. Or when your eldest was just on the cusp of becoming an adult.
It's so special for your children to have these albums to look at over and over.
