Over and over again on this website you'll see "artwork" referenced, but what do I mean by that? What I mean is that the way I perform the act of photography and portrait creation is with a large printed and framed piece as the result in mind.
I am literally crafting a portrait with the intention of it being able to stand on it's own as a piece of art. I make all kinds of artistic choices to that end before I ever press the shutter button.
I craft light conditions, I make color decisions, I pull in texture, reduce distractions and create compositions to produce a one of a kind image for you starring your most loved human(s) in this world. Ta Da!
The other way I perform photography is through story telling, for example, a maternity or family session, with an album as the final result in mind.
I want you to have a central, tangible product to open and visually read the story of you. I want you to feel the sunshine, smell the earth, to be transported back to that time you were pregnant and everything was still unknowable. Or to that time your family became 4 instead of 3. Or when your eldest was just on the cusp of becoming an adult.
I love, love, love these albums! Your photos are printed onto thick pages and bound together with premium materials. You have tons of choices from linen to vegan leather, cameo images on the cover, square or rounded corners, and embossing. This is one my favorite products for Baby, Maternity and Family sessions.

I offer matted print boxes. These are custom made boxes that hold between 15-30 museum-grade archival matted prints made with Ragmat 4ply matboard. These can be framed, displayed on a tabletop easel or gifted to family and friends.

When I say "heirloom", I mean it. I have found the absolute best labs and framers that use only the highest quality papers, inks, and framing materials. I can nerd out on this stuff all day, and I have. Many claim to be acid free but it can just be marketing. The vendor I use for framed and matted prints uses Hahnemühle and Canson papers that all have a pH over 8 and a print life of 250 years.
I also offer framed acrylic prints and float-framed canvas prints.

Shelley did an AMAZING job on my daughter’s pictures! I was beyond impressed with them. They are my favorite pictures that I have EVER had taken of my daughter. Not only was she very professional and flexible, but she was so kind to my daughter, and my daughter even told me she had the most fun time taking those pictures. Even on the ride home from the photo shoot, my daughter kept saying how nice Shelley was. We will definitely use Shelley again in the future. THANK YOU again Shelley!

Shelly is not only incredibly talented but also so much fun to work with. Her creative energy is contagious, and it really shows in her work. My girls are on the shy side and Shelly made them feel so comfortable, they ended up having the best time.
Whether in her studio or out and about in Fort Collins, Shelley knows how to capture the perfect shot, the perfect light, all of it. The photos she created for me exceeded all expectations - they are absolutely stunning!
