Why I Chose My Studio for Santa Mini Sessions

I didn’t want to rent out a random venue for one weekend and hope the light cooperated. I wanted a space I already know inside and out — one where I’ve mapped every window, every corner, and every spot where the light falls just right at 10am versus 2pm. That’s exactly what my Fort Collins studio gives me, and it’s why I host Santa mini sessions here instead of anywhere else.

Whether you’re coming from downtown Fort Collins or driving in from Loveland or Windsor, the studio is easy to find and easy to get in and out of quickly, which matters a lot when you’re wrangling little ones on a Saturday full of holiday errands.

Is My Studio Good for Toddlers and Young Kids?

Absolutely. I know exactly how nerve-wracking it can be to bring a two-year-old into an unfamiliar space with a stranger in a red suit, so I’ve built the studio experience with that in mind. It’s an enclosed, comfortable indoor space — no drafty outdoor set, no overwhelming crowd, no long lines of strangers watching your child decide whether Santa is friend or foe.

The intimate size of the space means your child isn’t lost in a big, echoey room. It’s just your family, Santa, and me, moving at a pace that respects where your kid is at that day, whether that’s climbing straight into Santa’s lap or hanging back for a minute first.

And if your child does need a beat to warm up, that’s completely normal, and it’s not going to derail your session. Some of the most treasured photos come from those in-between moments — the wide-eyed first look at Santa, a hand reaching for Mom’s leg, a nervous giggle turning into a real one. Rain or Shine? What Happens if the Weather Is Bad?

There are no refunds for cancellations of Santa minis but you can sell or gift your spot to another family if you’re unable to make it.
